How does Neeva use my location?
By default, Neeva will use your computer’s internet address (IP address) to try and understand your approximate location. This location is not precise and is closer to a city level, such as Chicago, IL. There are times, though, when you may want results nearer to your location. In these cases you can choose to share your device location with Neeva as a permission.
Does Neeva store my location information?
It is important to know that if you choose to share your location with Neeva, we do not store your precise location. When you share your device location, we will still only store an approximate location at the city level in order to better protect your privacy.
Does Neeva share my location information with third parties?
When requesting results (web, weather or local results, for example) from third party partners like Yelp or Weather.com, we NEVER pass your accurate location to them. We “blur” device location and remove the last octet of your IP address when making third party calls.
How do I update my location?
When making searches that benefit from understanding your physical location, you'll see a small location icon at the top of your results. Because Neeva uses a generalized estimate of your location, it may not always be exact. To choose a more precise location that targets your search results, click the location icon and then choose "Enable device location."
